Contract Recruitment
In today's highly competitive business environment, many companies have
chosen to implement a workforce model that enables them to maintain an

helps clients do just that. We quickly
and effectively provide technical resources when,
where and for however long they are needed.
Since 1969, we’ve provided thousands of clients

Contract-to-Hire Recruitment [back

Sterling offers a contract-to-hire staffing program that benefits both
our clients and candidates. Prior to making a full-time offer to the candidate,
our client can engage a Sterling technical resource on
a temporary basis to ensure they are an ideal fit for the position. At
any time during the engagement, Sterling’s contract employee can
be converted to a full-time employee of the client’s company as
outlined in the standard agreement.

Our dedicated direct hire recruiting team focuses solely on sourcing candidates
for Sterling clients’ full-time openings. We use an aggressive approach
to finding the “best of the best” candidates, leveraging Sterling’s
strong networking capabilities and referral program, as well as best practices
gleaned from years of recruiting techniques. We are extremely selective
when it comes to finding the right candidate for a position, and limit
our submittals to a short-list of qualified professionals.

Disciplined Qualification

All Sterling applicants undergo an in-depth qualification process designed
to ensure we present candidates who are highly skilled and technically
adept. In addition to conducting rigorous interviews, Sterling tests our
candidate’s technical skills/aptitudes (as appropriate) before submitting
them to our clients. By performing both standard and customized tests
at our facility, we’re able to personally validate the test scores
and provide clients with the results as part of our submittal process.
Sterling conducts and evaluates aptitude testing for mechanical, electrical,
architectural, civil, solid modeling and many other disciplines or technical
applications.
Payrolling [back

Payrolling is a service Sterling provides customers, who, for a variety
of reasons, need an alternative way of paying their contract employees
directly. For a reduced bill rate, we will place our customer’s
employees on our payroll, taking care to ensure they receive proper payment
on a weekly/monthly/bi-weekly basis or on a set schedule as agreed to
by the customer and Sterling.
Hardware and Software

In addition to providing skilled talent, Sterling can provide the hardware
and/or software clients need to accommodate temporary increases in staff
composition. We can equip our technical employees with the latest engineering
hardware and software (e.g., Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD) to use at
the client’s site, saving the customer significant costs associated
with buying licenses and/or leasing equipment for short-term needs.

Sterling has been certified as a vocational school by the Illinois State
Board of Education since 1995. Our certified instructors are not only
skilled facilitators; they are also active practitioners in their field
of expertise. To date, we have successfully trained hundreds of client
and Sterling employees.
We offer customized training for individuals or
teams as requested by our client, or for technical employees who need
to upgrade their skills for a new version of a specific software.

Workforce Management [back

This “capstone” service offering integrates both our Staffing
and Engineering Project services with a client’s business strategy
to create solutions that increase organizational effectiveness and flexibility.
While Sterling maintains and manages a core, on-site
project team of engineers and designers, additional staff is provided
to accommodate peak workloads and/or demand for specific technical expertise
in a manufacturing environment.
Workforce Management Services create a unique and
cost effective solution for our customers who might otherwise be challenged
by the need to hire during busy workload periods and reduce staff when
projects are nearing completion.
