Established in 1969 by Dan Casey, a mechanical engineer and graduate of Marquette University, Sterling Engineering was founded on three basic principles that continue to govern the way we do business today:
Our company began as a small firm with one full-time and two part-time engineers designing packaging machinery. Upon receipt of an exclusive (and large) contract to provide engineers to design prototypes for manufacturing equipment, Sterling Engineering found that the best way to attract quality engineers was to offer a comprehensive benefit program. Our commitment to providing employees with competitive pay and the same benefits as full-time staff was groundbreaking at the time, and enabled us to engage top engineers for this project. As a result of that initial opportunity, Sterling Engineering diversified its service offerings and now provides technical recruitment and project engineering services. Today, Sterling Engineering serves over 250 customers and employs over 500 employees, and is recognized and respected throughout the Chicago and Milwaukee regions. |
