Over 32 years ago, Ed Hoeksema started his first assignment with Sterling Engineering, Inc. As one of Sterling's longest standing employees, Ed has worked with our in-house engineering group and at over ten customer sites in Mechanical Design positions. Ed has been in his current assignment since September 2000.

Prior to joining Sterling in February 1974, Ed was working as a contract employee with another staffing company. He made the move to Sterling because they were offering a better opportunity with more overtime - "it was too good to pass up," remarked Ed.

Ed shared his thoughts on why he has continued working as a Sterling contract employee over the years, "Sterling offers the same things as a permanent job - a full benefit package - but without the politics. Sterling is a family-oriented company and it is a fun company to work for."
