On December 15, 2011 Sterling Engineering’s Paul Russo and Kevin Shumway attended the Wisconsin/Illinois SolidWorks Simulation User Group held at Ruud Lighting’s (Cree) state-of-the-art facility in Sturtevant, WI. The two were invited by Brian Kinnune of Cree to speak about Sterling’s services.

Sterling Engineering is launching a new relationship with Ruud Lighting and the Wisconsin/Illinois SolidWorks Simulation User Group. Sterling Engineering discussed their staffing capabilities with the different companies in attendance. They informed attendees about the types of positions Sterling Engineering fills and the different options that are available to them either on a contract-to-hire or direct-hire basis. Due to recent growth, Ruud Lighting is hiring over 400 people over the next year, and Sterling Engineering explored with attendees the benefits to using outside contractors to streamline their staffing needs.

Sterling Engineering also explained how they can assist the Wisconsin/Illinois SolidWorks Simulation User Group through using their extensive professional network. Sterling Engineering’s Milwaukee office is making a concentrated effort to support more SolidWorks User Groups and become more involved in the SolidWorks community through partnerships. Sterling Engineering can assist these groups with email blasts advertising upcoming meetings, listings on their website, and word of mouth to clients and candidates.

The SolidWorks Simulation Users Group is continually looking for new members with ideas and suggestions to solving analysis and simulation problems. Their emphasis is on solving real-world issues and sharing techniques. In this group there are no competitors, the group is comprised of individuals sharing experiences and solutions to problems they encounter in every day work.
