Since 1969, under Dan Casey’s stewardship, Sterling has grown from a local company focused on designing high speed packaging machinery to providing a full range of engineering services for companies in the pharmaceutical, food, manufacturing, transportation, automation and robotics sectors nationally and internationally.
Mr. Casey was awarded the 2013 Entrepreneurial Award from Marquette University’s College of Engineering and the Marquette University Alumni Association. In 1992 he was inducted into the University of Illinois Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. Dan has always been a strong supporter of STEM education, along with his global and local philanthropic interests. Dan was appointed by President Carter to The White House Conference on Small Business, the Panama Canal Committee and as an adviser to The Small Business Administration. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Sterling Engineering and Sterling Staffing, Inc.
