Invested in the World Around Us
Sterling’s commitment to corporate social responsibility is key to our long-term success. We recognize that in addition to key stakeholders—our clients and employees—we also have an obligation to the communities in which we work.
Our efforts are driven by an employee volunteer team that works with community partners to help make a difference in various ways. Helping people develop their inherent skills and gifts leads to better outcomes, and Sterling employees routinely donate time and talent within their communities.
Highlights of Our Recent Community Outreach Events
The Oakbrook Pink 5K
Sterling employees, friends, and family laced up our walking shoes and enjoyed the fresh air for a great cause!
Sterling employees tested out their crafting skills to make blankets for Project Linus. Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
Melrose Hope House in Elmhurst
We had a fantastic experience serving an Italian Style Meal to 15 veterans at the Melrose Hope House in Elmhurst. It was heartwarming to witness them enjoy the meal we prepared and spend quality time with them. It indeed was an honor to serve those who served our country.
Bring a Child to Work Day
We had some extra helping hands at Sterling! Our employees participated in “Bring a/your child to work day!” The kiddos participated in artwork activities, Young Engineers projects, and resume building. Plus, they even filled out time sheets and got “paid” for their hard days’ work. Thank you to all that attended; we loved seeing all the future engineers!
