WHAT ROLE WILL YOU PLAY?
The Division Manager will help meet our revenue growth targets by generating new business opportunities for the Life Sciences Division and assisting with the ongoing training and development of cross-divisional junior and mid-level Salespeople in the Sterling companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve sales targets and growth through individual efforts (approximately 25% of total time). This will be met though an assigned quota and by attaining quantitative and qualitative KPI’s.
  • For this purpose, design and implement a strategic business plan that drives existing client growth as well as expanding company’s Life Sciences customer base and ensures its future growth.
  • Leverage existing relationships and/or prospect for new Customer accounts for business development
  • Identify and target accounts with the significant business potential
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Develop depth in primary accounts including potential for primary supplier status and/or Managed Service Programs
  • Actively participate in the training, mentoring and career advancement and success of new and existing Sterling cross-divisional Salespeople (approximately 75% of total time)
  • This important initiative will be gradual and build over time, starting with 2 Salespeople and expanding to others based on tangible progress being made with these individuals.
  • Analyze individual strengths as well as areas for improvement.
  • Provide formal training and ongoing mentorship/leadership resulting in measurable success.
  • Closely monitor and hold Salespeople accountable for attaining on a week-to-week basis, assigned qualitative and quantitative KPI’s
  • High level of focus on coaching, process development and data-driven decision making
  • Compliment and work in partnership with the Director of Operations to design, develop and implement documented Sales Training Programs for parts or all of the Sales Staff as needed.
  • Create a continuous schedule for Training and lead training sessions.
  • Work closely with various Division Managers on training and development initiatives and collaborate in presenting and holding Salespeople accountable for specific goals and results.
  • Other Divisional Management duties to include:
  • Work collaboratively with Recruiting Team Lead and Director of Recruiting to establish specific account recruiting strategy to maximize timely, effective, and complete searches.
  • Hands-on sales support for individual assigned orders and team priority and problem orders.
  • Support candidate interviews to verify candidate “soft” and “hard” skills fit for key customer orders.
  • Assist in the negotiation and closing of candidate offers as needed.
  • Present sales, revenue, expenses, and realistic Division forecasts to the Senior Leadership team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Staffing industry or Engineering Project Services experience; preferably in a Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical or other Staffing Industry or Project Services capacity
  • Have existing relationships or networks in Life Science and if not, proven track record of quickly being able to expand network within a target industry.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related Sales and/or Recruiting and management experience
  • Strong work ethic and excellent communications skills
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, develop, lead, and motivate a small team of Recruiters.
  • Ability to prioritize team and company goals while maintaining individual performance expectations.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for building a position in the market by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing business opportunities. This person should be results-driven, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience and knowledge of strategic selling. This role reports to the Business Unit Manager.

  • Prospect for new customer accounts
  • Identify and target accounts with the significant business potential
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans
  • Establish and close business consistent with account plans and customer’s business requirements
  • Responsible for sales process and following company sales methodologies
  • Function as a primary point of contact for new and assigned accounts and maintain accountability for quality and performance
  • Customer presentations, supported by the management team, marketing business approach and service offerings
  • Work as part of a team, effectively utilizing company resources and support personnel
  • Consistently deliver to customer expectations
  • Manage the profitability of assigned accounts
  • Develop depth in primary accounts including potential for primary supplier status and/or Managed Service Programs
  • Meet or exceed weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) expectations
  • Travel as required to present service offerings and capabilities to key contacts
  • Ability to grow accounts organically through referrals and new business development

As a Technical Recruiter, you are an integral part of our Recruiting Team. This position will partner with Account and Business Development Managers to generate highly qualified candidates for client orders. Management of and delivery on multiple priorities are critical measures of success. This role reports to the Recruiting Team Leader.

  • Identify, contact, and develop relationships with talent using various recruiting tools and methods (job boards, social media, company database, job fairs, networking events, etc.)
  • Conduct recruiting activities as required to support delivery efforts and generate placements (sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting offers)
  • Screen qualified applicants against the job description through initial phone screening followed by face-to-face interviewing
  • Present qualified and screened candidates to the hiring managers with summary of job-related qualifications
  • Strong communication skills; consistent follow-up with clients and candidates
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Consistently meet or exceed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) expectations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience in customer-facing career is highly desired
